Hearing for HB1125 – Enabling Municipalities to exempt property taxes for Volunteer Firefighters and EMTs

This is regarding information and the scheduling of the hearing for HB1125.  (HB1125:  enabling municipalities to adopt an exemption from property taxes for volunteer firefighters and volunteer emergency medical personnel).

This bill will assist volunteer firefighter and EMT companies in attracting and retaining personnel. It is an enabling bill that gives municipalities the ability and choice of defining requirements for tax exemptions for the people who protect their communities.
